StayWithJay Operations Update — Reservation Barrier Taxonomy and Status Flow Improvements

Today we improved the way operational barriers are categorized and tracked inside the StayWithJay status flow system.

The barrier taxonomy was reorganized in ACF so barriers can be assigned more cleanly to reservations. This allows guest-related, room-related, access-related, bathroom-related, bedroom-related, direct booking, door lock, towel/missing item, extra guest, and transportation issues to be tracked in a more structured way.

The main operational improvement is that a barrier can now be attached directly to a reservation. Even when the issue is guest-related, tying the barrier to the reservation makes it traceable through the reservation code and keeps the incident connected to the actual stay.

This improves accountability because the team can status the issue without needing to solve it immediately. The first step is now simply logging the barrier correctly. From there, the team can review, escalate, resolve, or use the information later for operational reporting.

This update supports cleaner internal workflows, better guest issue tracking, better co-host accountability, and stronger reporting inside StayWithJay’s reservation operations system.

You are evaluating a new MVP concept called “O Zelador” (ZELADOR).

The idea is a hybrid guest-host residency model designed for furnished rental properties.

    Here’s the core concept:

    • A resident (typically a recurring guest or someone seeking a stable address) is offered discounted rent in a fully furnished unit.
    • In exchange, they take on recurring daily property management and hosting responsibilities (similar to an on-site host or caretaker).
    • This creates a “guest-host” role—part tenant, part operator.
    • The resident may also have opportunities to earn income from home, tied to managing or supporting the property.
    • Each property (or cohort of units) has limited slots (typically one) to maintain control and quality, and profitability.

    The value proposition:

    • For the resident: lower housing costs + income opportunity + stable address
    • For the operator: built-in, on-site management + reduced operational overhead

    Constraints / open questions:

    • Legal structure (tenant vs. contractor vs. hybrid)
    • Liability and compliance
    • Scope of responsibilities and incentives

    Goal of this MVP:

    • Test how compelling and understandable this concept is to potential users before building it.

    Please evaluate:

    1. Does this concept make intuitive sense?
    2. What are the biggest risks or points of confusion?
    3. Who is the ideal early adopter?
    4. Would you engage with or test this offering? Why or why not?

Upgrading servioce partner registration form and logic

    What

Refreshing the partner registration form. # 1. Partner equals service partner; One of the selections folks will make is what type of service partner they are. So a category for the user that is a sub profile kind of.

Here are all the persons who have so far been assigned this role. You will see that some of them are part of the brazilian efforts, and some of them are not partners but in fact, owners/or shareholders.

The idea here is to modify this form so

    1. A new partner can easily register as a partner or (we internaly can register the partner and they can receive a customized email explaining why the SWJ account is being made on their behalf. It is part of Catalyst Win Vendor Management Approach.
    2. The form can work as a conversational form, a Page type form, or an embedded Lead Type of form, or even a regular form within the page. This should be the intake for all service partners

What are some examples of Service Partners?

Tim is an example; we met him today as he was taking images of a neighboring property. And we took a chance on his services to refresh the images from one of our residences. His prices seem competitive, and Tim is local. His demeanor was kind, and positive throughout the interaction; so our kind of human.
