Deploying the Brazilian Investment Trip LP to staywithjay.com (via Duplicator package)

What you received

From your screenshot, the vendor sent a WordPress package that includes a dup-installer/ folder (Duplicator) plus WordPress core directories (wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes) and files (e.g., index.php). You’ll install this with Duplicator.

Step-by-step (English)

1. Choose the target location
   • Decide if this LP will live at the root (e.g., https://clevelandbyjay.com) or at a path (e.g., https://clevelandbyjay.com/brazil-trip/).
   • In your hosting file manager, go to that folder (usually public_html for the root, or create a subfolder for a path).
2. Upload the vendor files
   • Open cPanel (or AMP) → File Manager.
   • Navigate to the target folder and upload everything the vendor sent (or upload the zip they sent and Extract it there).
   • After upload, you should see items like: dup-installer/, wp-admin/, wp-content/, wp-includes/, and several wp-*.php files.
3. Create a new MySQL database
   • cPanel → MySQL® Database Wizard.
   • Create a database, then create a user and set a strong password.
   • Grant ALL PRIVILEGES to that user on the new database.
   • Keep these four values handy: Database name, user, password, and host (usually localhost).
4. Run the Duplicator installer
   • In your browser, go to:
     • https://clevelandbyjay.com/dup-installer/ (if installing at the root), or
     • https://clevelandbyjay.com/brazil-trip/dup-installer/ (if installing in a subfolder).
   • The Duplicator wizard will open. Click Next (or I have read and accept if prompted) to begin.
5. Database step in the installer
   • When asked for database details, enter the DB name, user, password, and host you created in step 3.
   • Click Test Database (or similar). It should pass.
   • Choose the option that creates/overwrites the database content (wording varies: new/empty DB or remove all data).
   • Proceed to Run Deployment / Install.
6. Update URL & paths
   • The installer will detect the New URL and Path. Confirm it matches your target:
     • Root: https://clevelandbyjay.com
     • Subfolder: https://clevelandbyjay.com/brazil-trip
   • Continue to let Duplicator perform the search/replace from the vendor’s temporary domain to yours.
7. Finish & clean up
   • When you reach the Final step, click Auto Delete Installer Files (or Remove Installation Files).
   • This removes dup-installer/ and any leftover installer artifacts for security.
8. Log in and verify
   • Visit the new site:
     • Root: https://clevelandbyjay.com
     • Subfolder: https://clevelandbyjay.com/brazil-trip
   • Log in to /wp-admin with the admin user from the package (if needed, use Lost your password? to reset).
   • Go to Settings → Permalinks → Save (once) to regenerate rewrite rules.
   • Click through the LP to confirm images, forms, and links are working under your domain.
9. (If the installer doesn’t appear)
   • Confirm the dup-installer/ folder is present in the exact target directory and that files have correct permissions.
   • If you only see WordPress files but no Duplicator archive/installer screen, you’ll need the vendor’s Duplicator archive + installer (or a DB export). In that case, request those files from them.
