Monte Alegre do Sul: A Hidden Gem Between São Paulo and Rio
A beautiful town, north of the capital of São Paulo, Monte Alegre do Sul sits perfectly between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. My wife and I spent New Year’s Eve 2023–2024 there, and what an amazing experience it was. From visiting local farms and riding horses to watching wild pigs running free, the city offered more than we imagined.
Our hosts—family friends and former hosts themselves—are among the kindest people you could ever meet. Both retired university professors and former executives of one of the largest grocery chains in South America, they embody the warmth and hospitality that make Monte Alegre so special.
This time, our visit goes beyond leisure. We are collaborating on selecting two ideal investment properties in and around Monte Alegre do Sul. As the economy continues to expand—São Paulo’s metro pushing outward and Rio de Janeiro’s growth stretching westward—these in-between paradises are becoming top destinations for families and investors alike.
At Studio Haus, StayWithJay.com, and Catalyst Win Consultoria, we see Monte Alegre as more than a getaway: it’s an opportunity to ride a gentle but steady growth wave. If you’re interested in tagging along, stay tuned for the exact dates of this leg of Jay’s Brazil Investment Trip.
