🔥🍴 Eat With Jay and His Cunhado: The Fire, The Food, The Reason Why 🌽🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

    This ain’t a brand.

    It’s not a dinner party.

    It’s not a pop-up.

It’s the backyard. It’s the fire. It’s what we do when the fridge says it’s time.

    👨🏽‍🍳+🔥+🍖 = 💯

We don’t have menus. We have vibes.

We don’t do RSVPs. We do “you smell that?”

It starts with tomatoes. Real ones. On the grill. 🔥🍅

No foil, no tray. Just heat on skin. They crack, they scream, they juice up.

    Straight into the molcajete.

    🪨✊🏽 SMASH.

    🧄🧂 SHAKE.

🗣️ Cunhado yells something in Spanish.

    It’s not salsa. It’s a statement.

Then comes the meat. You hear that sizzle?

    That’s not food — that’s foreplay. 🔥🍗🥩

Thick ones down low. Strips riding up top.

You don’t flip it till it fights back. 🥊

Tortillas? Still warm in the bag.

    Store-bought? Yup. Homemade? Sometimes.

    Delicious? Always. 🌮💥

We eat off whatever’s clean. A plate, a lid, a cutting board — it don’t matter.

You eat. You chill. You listen.

    You pour one out. 🍻

    This ain’t a curated thing.

    It’s the real thing.

💨 If you catch wind of it while you’re staying at one of our spots — follow the smoke.

    That’s your invite.

🎟️ Want In Tonight? Here’s How:

    🔐 Use code EATS 3287

🚪 After that? Door’s closed. Plate’s gone. Fire’s low. You missed it.

    Let’s get it in.

    🔥🇧🇷🍴🧼🍗🗣️🪨🌮👊🏽💨💯

Eat With Jay and His Cunhado: The Fire, The Food, The Reason Why

This ain’t a brand. It’s not a damn event. It’s just how we eat.

Me and my cunhado don’t cook for content. We cook because it’s time to eat. Because there’s fire, meat, and people around who get it.

Today we roasted tomatoes straight on the grill—skin blistered, juice spilling—then dropped them into the molcajete. We didn’t blend it. We didn’t measure shit. We smashed it. Garlic, salt, whatever felt right.

Next came the beef. Thin cuts up top, thick ones down low. No thermometer. No timer. We watched the fire and listened to the sizzle. That’s how we knew.

There were tortillas on standby. Still warm in the bag. We ain’t ashamed. Sometimes you make your own. Sometimes you buy ‘em. We care more about who’s eating than what’s trendy.

This is what we do. No RSVP. No seating chart. If you’re around, and the smoke’s rolling, you’re in.

If you’re staying with us, and you catch the right day, you’ll smell it. You’ll hear us. You’ll know.

Don’t ask for a flyer. Ask for a plate.

    🟡 Want In? Here’s How:

Use code  3287 at 2007 West 100th, one of the Edgewater Residences. Front door.

Code active until 11:00PM tonight. After that, the door’s closed.

  • 🚨 RULE BUSTER OF THE MONTH: “It’s Not in Our Name — We Don’t Care”

🚨 RULE BUSTER OF THE MONTH: “It’s Not in Our Name — We Don’t Care”

We wish we were making this up.
    We really do.

🕘 9:26 AM, Cleveland, Ohio — Guests (who weren’t on the reservation) stormed out of our unit yelling:

“That’s what the f** we said. The reservation is not in our name. We don’t care. You wanna charge us for breaking your s***? That’s just gonna stop the other person from booking with Airbnb… Come oooon!!”*

    😮

    They admitted it.
    They didn’t book.
    They trashed the place.
They threatened us with a car in our own driveway.

This isn’t the first time this has happened.
It’s just the first time someone used their car as a weapon.

    And what’s worse?
We waited over two hours for Airbnb to respond to the call.

    We’re tired.
This is starting to feel unsafe.

We built this business to offer affordable, quality hospitality.
Not to get screamed at in our own homes.
Not to be threatened over a $90 booking.

We run the same exact model in Brazil.
    Same price. Same system.
    None of this.

    So what’s going on?

💬 We’re asking the StayWithJay community to weigh in:

    What would you do?

    • 🔐 Should we require video ID for same-day bookings?
    • 🚫 Should we ban late-night arrivals completely?
    • 💻 Should Airbnb auto-flag identity mismatches for review?

    Or…
Is this just the cost of hosting now?

    Let’s talk about it.
Because if hospitality means putting your life on the line for a stranger who doesn’t even use their real name…

Then maybe we all need to rethink what we’re doing.

  • How Not to Park at a StayWithJay Residence

How Not to Park at a StayWithJay Residence

So here’s how not to park when you’re staying at one of our properties:

❌ Do not block the entire driveway from 10PM to 7AM.

❌ Do not assume the world revolves around your front bumper.

❌ Do not cause someone to miss a flight because you were too lazy, clueless, or self-centered to park like a decent human being.

Yes, it happened. This morning. At the Edgewater Residences.

Once our team finishes confirming which Einstein behind the wheel caused this mess, that guest will be permanently banned from all StayWithJay properties. Like, forever. We don’t do second chances when your actions cost someone else time, stress, and money.

To our loyal and respectful guests, especially the one who missed their flight—we’re sorry we didn’t catch this in time. You deserve better. We’re working harder than ever to make sure you always get it.

    Now for the fun part…

What do you think? Should we start charging parking violators and use that money to pay for the ticket change of the guest they screwed over?

💬 Drop a comment and let us know if we’re being too harsh or just right. 😏
